How to open your Business Interest Checking account

Here are some of the documents you’ll need to get started.

  • Your business’s Employer Identification number (EIN) or Tax ID number (TIN). Sole proprietorships can use the owner’s Social Security number.
     
  • Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization or a charter or similar legal document that indicates when your company was formed. (Not required for sole proprietorships.)
     
  • A government-issued photo ID and Social Security number for you, any business owner that has 25% or more ownership in the business, and anyone authorized to sign checks or make transactions on behalf of your organization.
